Cross-enrollment / Cross-registration refers to enrollment in another academic unit outside the home unit. The enrollment of cross-registrants is subject to the approval of the Deans through the Faculty/College Secretaries of the home unit and the accepting faculty/colleges.



Cross-Enrollment from UPOU to other UP Unit or Schools outside the UP System


Requirement:

  1. Accomplished Permit to Cross Register Form.

Procedure:

Step 1: Submit the accomplished Permit to Cross Register Form to the Faculty of Study (FEd, FICS, or FMDS).

Step 2: Wait for an email from the Office of the University Registrar for the result.

Step 3: Secure the approval of the Dean and Registrar of the accepting UP unit.

Step 4: Complete the enrollment in the accepting unit during the prescribed registration period.

Step 5: Submit a copy of the final certificate of the registration form (UP Form5 Dean’s copy) to the Office of the University Registrar once registered:

Cross-Enrollment from other UP Units to UPOU


Requirements:

  1. Accomplished UPOU Cross-Enrollment Application Form; and
  2. Accomplished Permit to Cross Register Form from the student’s home UP unit, form must show approval of home unit’s Dean and Registrar

Procedure:

Step 1: Student secures the necessary permit/s  or document/s from his/her home UP unit to cross enroll to UPOU.

Step 2: Accomplish the UPOU Cross-Enrollment Application Form. Upload the duly signed cross-enrollment application from your home UP campus to the online application for enrollment form together with applicable supporting document/s (free tuition, TFE/Reduced fee, etc).

Step 3: Upload the duly signed cross-enrollment application from your home UP campus to the online application for enrollment form together with applicable supporting document/s (free tuition, TFE/Reduced fee, etc). Kindly note that the Request for Cross-Enrollment Form is also subject to the approval of the UPOU Faculty Dean concerned as per recommendation of the Program Chair.

Step 4: Kindly note that the Request for Cross-Enrollment Form is also subject to the approval of the UPOU Faculty Dean concerned as per recommendation of the Program Chair.

Step 5. The UPOU Registration Section emails the student about the status of cross-enrollment application. The email for approved applications shall include details on how to do the enrollment online.

Step 6: Student with approved cross-enrollment application enrolls in UPOU through the Online Registration System (ORS) lodged in the Student Portal. Once enrolled, the student automatically receives his/her access credentials to the Student Portal through his/her registered email address

Step 7: Student logs in to his/her Student Portal account to view if his/her enrollment for the current term has already been shown and if the enrolled courses are all correct. 

Step 8: The UPOU TechSupport emails cross-enrollee the log-in credentials for the UPOU MyPortal (UPOU’s online classroom) at the start of the class. Course site normally opens on the first day of classes. In case you cannot access the course site, email MyPortal Techsupport at [email protected] for assistance.



Cross-Enrollment from Schools outside the UP System to UPOU


Requirement:

  1. Accomplished Permit to Cross Register Form from the mother unit duly approved by the Dean, Registrar, and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of the mother unit. The student’s email address must be indicated in the form. Go to the Course Offerings page to view the list of courses offered for the term.

Procedure:

Step 1: Mail or bring the accomplished Permit to Cross Register Form to:

Step 2: Wait an email from the Registration Section for the status of the request.

Step 3: If approved, enroll in courses. Enrollment details are included in the email from the Registration Section.
