Expect that everything is hard, and nothing is too easy.
Even if it’s others who are thinking that you’re having the time of your life, or even if it’s you imagining that everything is going too well, know that what you’re doing is hard work. Do not attempt to consider and compare the amount of work you’re doing with others, because if you step over that line, you’re going to drag yourself into a rabbit hole where you would overwork yourself for others or for yourself, feeling that you’re not exerting that much effort compared to those around you. That’s the mental preparation that you need to take before you could start expecting a lot of readings and deadlines for your subjects; it’ll be a lot, too.
